I got a Tumblr blog. I'm pretty sure I'll be sticky with that rather than staying with blogger because I like the interface more.

From my iPhone GRE App:
abase (v)
to humiliate or disgrace
Used in a Sentence: The elementary school teacher abased her students by drawing attention to their physical flaws.
The pundits are freaking right about those teachers.

Two Seconds of God Hating Fags to end with some 911 Truthers.
I attempted to interview the WBC again at the Oscars. It didn't work out so well and all of a sudden I rain into some 911 Truthers.

veriPhone
The Verizon iPhone came out today and I have been bitching about getting one since August. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't go and sit in a long line like an idiot in order to possibly get one.
Nothing exciting has happened. I went to my first metal show and it was pretty much what I expected. Girls at punx shows are wayyyyy cuter.
February 15th Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris are debating a couple of Rabbis, neither of which are Rabbi Boteach who is a total jerkface imo. I want to go and get Hitch to sign a copy of my favorite book of his The Missionary Position. I'm hoping to get him to write, "Stay classy" or something.
Finally I sent in one grad application and I'm revising a paper I wrote in 2009 that I need to send as a sample of my writing. I've sent in my transcripts and all that is needed on my part is pretty much covered. I basically have to make sure that the three professors that I asked for letters of rec send in the letters in time. I contacted them a few days ago and not one has responded. This totally blows and I am frustrated about this because February 15th is also when my CSUN app and letters of rec are due and that is next Tuesday. I cannot wait until all this is done and I can just play Zelda in peace.

About that...
I never update and making short pithy posts or posts where I simply post a funny image/video/link I usually just end up posting as Facebook status updates. But I'll try harder I swears.
I am STILL applying to grad schools (CSULB and CSUN) and once I finish that I'll get back to posting my field journal entries. For now I've just been sleeping in late, playing Zelda and trying to get rid of my apartment in Westwood. The latter has been so freaking annoying, but in the ways that are too trivial to reiterate in a blog entry and doing so will just make me more annoyed.
Finally, I updated my bands I've seen live list. Everyone who obviously thinks I have great taste in music should check it out/memorize it.

Post Undergrad!
Well so far I have done NOTHING but play video games and eaten crap since I graduated and dammit does it feel fantastic. I haven't updated in awhile and I figured I should be more on top of a blog I made to discuss my academic exploits especially since I will not be in academia for a little bit.
I will make the ultimate Majora's Mask Walkthrough...so awesome that you'll want to watch it for it's glory alone.
I also got my camera and camera misc in my hands once more so I'll try to take more photos and stuff.
Finally, my favoritest video on the internet atm:

Grad Schools
I applied to get my MA in anthropology (Muggle Studies) at the following schools:
CSUN
CSULB
CSULA
SFS
Officially I am half-way applied to all those schools, I applied to them on CSUmentor and finished that crap and now I gotta:
A) Get letters of recommendation which is becoming kinda annoying
B) Write a statement of purpose/submit a sample of my writing
C) Do the GRE and score well because I messed up at UCLA and have a crappy GPA.
So to say I am half-way done is kinda optimistic but whatever...I have until freaking Feb. and March to do all that stuff so yeah TAKE THAT!
Goal for Winter Break: sleep and read and FINALLY finish the Majora's Mask Walkthrough I have strive to perfect.

Just for you, Dave
The new Karate Kid movie was actually pretty good. I wish they stuck with the title Kung Fu Kid instead though...I doubt that someone wouldn't have seen it unless it had some association with the original movie...I mean, A Fistful of Dollars was still freaking badass and awesome, they didn't need to name it Yojimbo! (Yes I know that was a long time ago when they made those movies.)
Still trying to get into grad schools, need to write my statement of purpose.
